This August, we (Stephan Schott, Emmelie Paquette, and me, all Carleton University) tried to catch up on workshops and interviews in Gjoa Haven, Nunavut, after our trip in spring got cancelled due to COVID and poor weather. We combined the trip with ten days in Délı̨nę, NWT, for interviews and community engagement around fisheries. In Délı̨nę, we joined project partners Edward Reeves (Délı̨nę Renewable Resources Council) and Walter Bezha (Délı̨nę Ɂǫhda K'áowǝ Kǝ) as well as Carleton colleague Grace Martin. Had some layover time in Yellowknife, NWT, where I had the pleasure of photographing the aurora borealis.
